The results of which feed back into the overlords' future plans, thereby perpetuating the devolution to statism; to the central planning so adored by all wings and sects of socialists, be they Green, Labor, Progressive, Gay, La Raza or any other regressive mob from their toxic soup. On second thought, the new socialists are much like the old socialists, sans KGB or SS, for now anyway.

Risk on. Risk off.

Learning better than to fight the federal muscle of our overlords, we are acting more and more in unison. The electronic markets are revealing this. And the results are not as pleasant as John Lennon's "Imagine" portrays such monolithic obedience to be.

Behold their new marketing term for tax hikes. The implicit claim that a new tax law will result in a net increase of revenues to the federal government is unfounded. Its actual effects will depend on how the citizenry adjust their behavior in response to the new rules.

Obama's spending spree, which was marketed as "stimulus", turned out to be a depressant. Millions of jobs were lost or destroyed, net, since that idiocy was passed and spent.

Similarly, the notion that tax hikes will successfully suck out an additional $1,500,000,000,000 from the withering residual of our dying economy is just that. Marketing it as a decree of additional revenue is just a merciless joke which exploits the economically illiterate.

Oh, and Obama's purportedly "urgent" bill won't even be ready for anyone to sign until NEXT MONTH, after their next vacation.

In each setting, a senior Planned Parenthood staff member did everything they could to help the supposed perpetrator continue to profit from the raping of children. They even went as far as instructing the supposed perpetrator on the importance of making sure the little girls “kept their mouths shut,” lest a concerned employee would get nosy and report them.

... somewhere between clinic number ten and twelve, an office manager decided it was wrong to help a man profit from the continual rape of little girls who had been kidnapped. Kudos to that one office manager — but what about the many Planned Parenthood managers before who not only did nothing but actually aided in US tax dollars being used to support such horrible crimes? What were the folks at Media Matters thinking when they made the willful choice to defend such atrocities?

... To my astonishment, NPR had taken the same spin and framing as Media Matters. Thankfully, after Andrew convinced one of the NPR producers to actually watch the video, NPR retracted the word “hoax” out of the story on their website. The damage was done though. By displaying the Media Matters narrative, and then leaving it up for an extended period before correcting themselves, NPR had officially framed the story for the Left. If Muslims are only six per cent of the population, how come they already form a majority of the governing caucus of the capital city of the European Union? If Muslims are only six per cent of the population, how come they make up 20 per cent of Britain's university students?

According to the Vienna Institute of Demography, by mid-century Islam will be the majority religion among Austrians under the age of 15. The Audacity of Hoax

Those for whom class warfare, race hustling, riots, and labor union thuggery are core tactics now control all levers of the federal government. They just passed a lawless "law" that nationalizes a fifth of the US economy.

Aside from lying outside the scope of federal powers we grant through the US Constitution, their latest "law" is an assault on American ideals, logic, reason, arithmetic, and the lessons of history.

Oh, and most voters didn't want it, and don't like it.

And by "don't like it", I mean countless millions of heretofore politically inactive citizens -- mom, dad, and the kids, or grandparents -- gathered and protested in public squares across America for the better part of a year. And they did this in such large public gatherings that from a far enough distance they would look almost like socialists -- almost. Upon inspection, however, their absence of socialist pedigree became evident. As examples, they were lucid, civil, and lacked riot gear. That, and the contempt from TV "reporters" who "interviewed" them was kind of obvious.

Within hours of enacting the federal "law", over a dozen state governments promised law suits to expose its unconstitutionality.

The response to all this by the federal politicians who crammed their "law" down our throats was to pose as traumatized victims of violence. They did so through their usual means; a media blitzkrieg of claimed "instances of violence" presented fraudulently as "news", and peppered with all their standard slogans and maledictions.

This latest bout of melodrama was just one of their encores; same act, different year.

Generating electrical power from pure oxygen and fossil fuel -- what an novel idea! In other words, the so-called Bloom Box is a "battery" of sorts -- an electrical power source -- that uses oxygen and fossil fuel, instead of, say, mechanical or electrical power, to recharge. So, it's a new battery (fuel cell) technology which may or may not become an economically viable business.

It's most novel feature is its marketing campaign, which presents it as if it's some kind of magic, "Green" box.

The cells themselves are ceramic, and painted with some kind of unmentioned -- toxic as hell, most probably -- substrate(s). The boxes cost a few hundred thousand dollars to manufacture.

This reminds me of the "Green" Compact Florescent (CF) light bulbs. No one mentions that the bulbs contain mercury, so when one breaks, a several thousand dollar, EPA certified, enviro-cleanup crew is required. Of course, no one will participate in that cleanup lunacy, so each and every piece of real estate thereby "contaminated" will become some EPA / legal nightmare, just as soon as the lawyers puzzle their way to that new business opportunity.

A secular perspective

The gimmick used in Atheist proselytism is to establish the frame of discussion as belief vs. no belief. When, in reality, Atheists simply hold different beliefs and form different conclusions. The full wad of notions upon which theirs are based remains hidden by the Atheists' closed-loop idiocy of claiming such are nonexistent or irrelevant due to the label they hide theirs behind. When questioned on this, the Atheist defense is an adaptation of the little child covering their eyes and taunting "You can't see me". Stunningly, so few question them.

The Atheist gimmick is so successful because it fits perfectly into the comforting self-image of their so-called religious counter party; those who are all too happy to accept a framework of discourse where only theirs is considered "belief". The specious presumption is inviting to the "believer", and so often thoughtlessly accepted by them.

The reasoning mind seeks answers regarding the event of creation and that which created it. Different theologies have different concepts for both. Therein spawns the need for Atheism to require of its devotees a hostility to such intellectual inquiry. Specifically, no other theology is more demonstrably nonsensical than the Atheists' notion that there should be evidence of the property (exist) of something (God) when both remain undefined within the context of its own decree.

Does mathematics "exist"?

Given the grand scope and context of the Atheists' main mantra, and given Atheists' claim of scientific rigor, such matters aren't trivial. However, Atheists appear not only clueless, but entirely absent any awareness that such might be required by the reasoning mind. Indeed, Atheists typically express the same hostility to any such intellectual curiosity, and all while obnoxiously posing as the polar opposite.

Unable to reason their way to their own edict of no-god, the dull minds of Atheism haven't yet noticed they've not even defined that which they claim to not "believe". Even if Atheists (again) manage to take control of all the machine guns somewhere and snuff out all competing theologies (again), the nonsensical nature of theirs would be no less so. I'm too lazy to do an ordered list in that countdown sort of way, but here are the Top Ten, or so, DIFFERENCES between Hitler & Obama, leading up to & including their first year in office:

* Hitler promoted homosexuals to the top slot positions in his elite military SS units. (Before executing them all.) Obama hasn't even allowed soldiers to date yet.

* Hitler wrote only ONE book about himself, wallowing in his own angst, whereas Obama wrote TWO.

* Hitler advertised the cost cutting methods required under the socialized-medicine concept of "Life unworthy of Life", publicly admitting its calculus, whereas Obama lies about it.

* Hitler's socialized medical program was economically feasible, whereas Obama's claims are not.

* Hitler built highways. Obama nationalized an automobile company.

* Hitler led his socialist labor union party and set their agenda before taking control of the country, whereas Obama merely followed the most radical within his.

* Hitler admired only certain brands of socialism, whereas Obama's is a rainbow of disparate socialist sects, from Labor to La Raza (THE race), from Green to Black Panthers.

* Hitler depicted specific races as an Evil scourge. Obama lets his crew handle that.

* Hitler betrayed both allies and enemies of his nation. Obama betrayed only allies.

* Hitler worshiped at his own political theology of pagan-vegan-socialism, inventing it as he went along, while Obama worshiped at that of Cone's Black Liberation Theology for 20 years.

* Hitler demonized his political opponents as an Evil menace, and commandeered federal authority to criminalize them. Obama lets his crew handle that.

* Hitler's socialized medical plans actively encouraged the propagation of the indigenous population. Obama's encourages their self extermination through abortion, albeit by merely following the lead of his party.

No Peace in Obama's Nobel

Milli Vanilli was a pop song duo who rocketed to the top of the charts. Haplessly, they won a Grammy Award. The scrutiny that followed exposed their hoax; they had lip-synced everything. They hadn't sung a single note, either live or in any of their recordings. There was a nasty, media-frenzy driven backlash.

Obama's Nobel Peace Prize is looking like a sort of Milli Vanilli Grammy Award. (And I'm not talking about the TOTUS thing.) The dhimmified Scandinavian socialists hastily bestowed upon Obama HIS hapless win because of their desire to stab a stick in the eye of President Bush for having been so rude as to actually fight back -- with real bullets and all -- against the Muslim crusaders. The Kafir never miss an opportunity to appease, do they?

Win FAIL.

Of course, "hastily" is an understatement. Obama was nominated only 12 days into his presidency, and won after only 9 months therein. The year prior he was a junior senator from Illinois; a Dick Durban with less experience and a more melodic voice; a representative whose state capital had recently gained infamy as America's murder capital amongst big cities, and after decades of uninterrupted governance by the Daley Machine -- HIS party.

From the very moment of the Nobel announcement itself, it was clear that reality had somehow seeped in and ruined the fantasy of dhimmi-socialists the world over. Obama's teleprompter (TOTUS) was left with the painfully embarrassing task of accepting it.

Unlike the Milli Vanilli aftermath, there are no sidewalks full of smashed albums and disks; no clear understanding of who should apologize, or for what. Instead, there's a creepy void. And that's just it; Obama has done NOTHING. And Obama's Nobel puts an exclamation point at the end of that sentence.

However insulting, the spectacle is ironically a recurrent insult to Obama's long list of accomplishments in another context. Indeed, the speed at which HIS Hopey-Changey Show is effecting CHANGE is stunning:

* Partially nationalize the auto industry ($100B).
* Triple spending rate under Powers NOT Enumerated.
* Quadruple the federal deficit year-on-year ($1.8T).
* Betray America's allies on missile defense.
* Surrender to Iran and Russia on missile defense.
* Genuflect to America's sworn enemies.
* Install a shadow government of socialist "Czars".
* Punish those who don't submit to labor price-fixing cartels.
* Force taxpayers to sponsor human embryo harvesting.
* Intimidate Honduras after they ousted a Marxist.
* Betray any remaining classified war programs the NY Times hasn't already betrayed.

But still, where's the "peace" part?

Precipitating out of the Obama-Nobel vapor is the thought that someone has lotsa splainin to do.

A few days before Christmas of 1988, a Boeing 747 passenger jet blew up over the little Scottish town of Lockerbie. A total of 270 people were killed; all 243 passengers, all 16 crew members, and 11 town residents. That includes 189 US citizens, of which 47 were college students returning from their study programs. The flight was en route from London to New York.

The explosion was later traced to a bomb planted in the plane by Muslim crusaders from Libya.

Forensics also revealed that many slaughtered thereof had initially survived both the explosion and painful depressurization of the cabin as the plane violently disintegrated at high speed and altitude; that many regained consciousness while plummeting to their death, dying on or after impact; that some lingered in agony and died shortly before medical help arrived.

It was also discovered that the Libyan government masterminded and conducted the bombing, and that they did so in support of the Islamic crusades. Their act of war was treated as a judicial branch matter. One guy was "caught" and went to prison.

Such is typical of how target nations handle the Muslim tribes who are waging war against all peoples across the globe. Stunningly, each targeted civilization that's attacked acts as if it's oblivious to all such previous Muslim crusades. Not surprisingly, Muslims now occupy so many nations, and infest host nations across the globe; always posing as the victim to better victimize their targets.

The Muslim crusades are some 1,400 years ongoing now, beginning with the inception of their political theology, Islam, and they show no sign of stopping. Warring on all "Kafir" is an integral part of their fascist plague; a requirement of it. Oddly, wherever there are Muslims throwing murderous temper tantrums, there are Western socialists helping them blame their victims.

Adhering to their zero-intelligence policy, dhimmi-socialist leaders recently released the lone Lockerbie convict and flew him back to Libya, to a homecoming party. As long as one rejects the lessons of history in favor of socialist dogma, appeasement would appear civilized. Cloaking their appeasement in rhetoric of "compassion", as they did in this case, is something so much worse than a macabre joke in bad taste. Indeed, it's merciless.

Aside from evidencing their usual set of depravities, that particular act also demonstrates the contempt socialists have for innocent human life. In this case, expressed as cruelty toward the thousands of murdered victims' families, friends, countrymen and others who might give more than a rat's ass.

Socialists have infinite "compassion" for the perp; zero for their victims. Indeed, they evidence a similar fidelity to abject depravity as that required by Islam and fostered by its leaders. This hasn't gone unnoticed:

I'm starting to like these guys.

Sure, all men of reason admire America's Boston Tea Party mindset. Only more poignantly so since it was reignited by one Rick Santelli last year. Though not as passionately, perhaps, as Democrats hold its American ideals in contempt.

Nevertheless, here I'm referring to the actual flesh and blood, thinking and protesting citizens who now show up on hot summer days, and who dare to publicly dissent, and pointedly, from the politics of The Joker and his Hopey-Changey Crew.

Now that the Democrats' hollow slogans are getting filled in with barrels of legislative ink, the citizenry are showing signs of life; indicating they are willing to fight to protect their liberties from further erosion; from an ever more encroaching government. As Governor Tim Pawlenty (R) recently noted:

Too bad no one listened to voices of reason BEFORE the presidential election. Certainly too few ever get to hear them. Here's what economist Dr. Thomas Sowell had to say at the beginning of 2008 regarding the prospect of an Obama presidency:

Unlike the folksy looking frauds staged by political elites, we are witnessing throngs of politically unconnected citizens, Joe The Plumber types, who are truly representative of the will of the people, as evidenced by the polls, as they resoundingly reject Obama-Care and its socialist ideology with all its happy-sounding slogans.

The Democrat legislators are responding to their protesting constituency as anyone so contemptuous of self governance would; with an odd mix of dismay and hostility; strangely attacking them; often by race hustling; sometimes with physical violence. Always with contempt.

Does "baseless" have a bottom to race to?

Giddy with power, the DNC actually came out of the closet to put their name on a video hit piece expressing contempt for these citizens; calling them "the Mob".

It's typical procedure for Democrats to smear their opposition with whatever Democrat party stink is most handy. Here, they projected their party's rich history of ties to organized crime; like all four decades of Chicago's Daley Machine, which is Obama's power base and America's murder capital too.

One wonders if the unhappy observables could possibly have anything to do with the entrenched party governing there. Pondering that little brain teaser, "let's be clear", it's not like the lickspittles of the so-called press would ever report the lethal ancestry of their Hopey-Changey Show.

Anyway, in this case, the "opposition" is their own constituency; Democrat voters, Republican voters and Independent voters alike. Mostly old people.

Those now spewing derision at the citizens protesting these sudden & massive expansions of government spending took the exact opposite position regarding America's national defense; Democrat leaders were quite supportive of those who protested against America in her war against a foreign enemy. Almost as curious; the so-called war protests have suddenly ceased.

Given their anti-American politics are so far out of whack with American ideals, it appears the ONLY way ANY Democrat would EVER win ANY election is if they formed the largest, richest labor price-fixing cartel in human history, and controlled a federal monopoly of compulsory training facilities from which they would proselytize their political mysticism to successive generations of everyone's children for 12+ years each.

The Nazi Final Solution was to exterminate specific groups; the so-called Environmentalists' Final Solution is to exterminate the human species. Thus, in comparison to the Democrats' "inclusive" politics, Nazism appears the more moderate. He's depicted as The Joker character from Heath Ledger's portrayal (Batman, 2008), over the caption "socialism". It's fitting.

Watching The Joker smoothly transition from one set of lies to another, with the most recent often contradicting the last, all while his adoring lickspittles are posing as news reporters, is just plain creepy.

However, unlike the street pimp, the damage inflicted by such political hustlers is systemic and backed by government muscle. Hiding it all under the C-word, as they do, is a merciless deception. By comparison, the street pimp is both innocuous and forthright.

On those occasions when so-called Liberals find it necessary to ape civilized man, they point to the one fragment of a single sentence from the preamble, not the body, of the U.S. Constitution:

"... promote the general Welfare ...".

That sound byte is proffered by political hustlers as if it grants them some kind of open-ended, happy-sounding, totalitarian power to tax and spend on anything and everything their nonexistent socialist hearts desire. Thereby, they pose as benefactors, albeit with other people's money, to unbound their political ambitions.

Such hustling of the preamble phrase is, necessarily, a tacit rejection of the remainder of the document -- the entire body of the constitution -- thereby evidencing their contempt for it. And it shows.

Force citizens to sponsor illegals? No problem!

Defense of their baseless, lawless absurdities requires an abject denial of Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution (Enumerated Powers of Congress), which includes The General Welfare Clause, and enumerates thereunder those powers to which "general Welfare" refers, item by item. It's a finite and specific list. (Hence the word "enumerated".)

Thus, the political hustlers' Welfare notion not only overrides constitutional limits, such as the aforementioned, but more broadly rejects the principle evidenced thereof limiting the scope of government authority.

Our lawless federal government encroaches into ever more sectors of our lives and livelihoods, of which it has NO authority to either tax or spend for under the US Constitution. People keep focusing on the symptoms, while protecting, proliferating and expanding all the causes.

In fact, under The General Welfare Clause, there are only eighteen (18) enumerated powers. Universal Happiness is NOT one of them. Neither is Universal Car Care nor Universal Day Care nor universal ... anything.

The clause is sometimes referred to as the "Taxing and Spending Clause" because it and the section containing it, together, define the allowable scope for taxing and spending by the legislative branch; the only branch of our republican form of government allowed to do so.

Thus, taxing or spending for anything outside that scope, beyond what's enumerated therein, is necessarily NOT within the powers granted BY us, a self-governing people, TO them, the hired help.

All claims to the contrary; all claims of purity of INTENT; all claims of COMPASSION; all such "big pimping" fails to change constitutionality. (Pardon the Liberal lingo again.)

In other words, it's illegal.

That isn't deterring Democrats from trying to LAWLESSLY nationalize another industry, criminalize whatever is left, and put everyone on some kind of new Welfare program, thereby ensnaring all Americans in yet another of the government's merciless criminal enterprises.

Obama was the one senator who called for Don Imus to be FIRED because of one off-handed college sports comment ("nappy-headed ho"). Legislating from the court is racketeering. Sure, it goes by many other terms, but none can transmute its illegitimacy. It's also the Democrats' most efficient tool for snuffing out self governance. For example, Democrats can pretend to abide by our republican form of democracy as long as a vote goes their way; resorting to judicial racketeering only when it does not. Words That Annoy

I'm not talking about the merely arcane substitutes for simpler words. I'm not talking about the bundle of those peppering the snooty dialect of thin-minded intellectuals. No. These are specific affronts to our language for which something must be done.

Irregardless -- the prefix suggests it's an antonym of that from which it's derived, but it's a synonym. Adding to the annoyance, it offers nothing but a longer, prissier version of the synonym from which it's derived. This one is so purely wrong that it's almost a stain on our civilization. Okay, a very tiny stain, perhaps water soluble, but a stain nonetheless.

Presumptuous -- the bastard step-child of presumption, which itself mixes the innocent and the nefarious. Where the noun-parent allows for both interpretations simultaneously and often ambiguously, itself an annoyance, this step-child is pure nasty. Of course, that would be good if it's parent didn't exist; we need honest words and this one would have served. However, this step-child tries to hide behind its parent's innocent side, thus making its use especially weasel-like. Worse yet, it has disowned its ancestry -- "presume", its root -- what would have been it's most appropriate role. In fact, the whole family has since gone dysfunctional, and they can be as obnoxious as a kick in the shins. They do possess the redeeming quality of exposing the character of their user, on occasion.

Literally -- it's the fuzzy concept that does the damage here, with its definitions attempting to span both word and deed. By one, it's just a cousin to verbatim; exact, word for word. However; by another, it's a synonym for actual. Thus, the word is rendered worse than worthless by creating a void. What is the word for NOT actual? We have some, but they suck, e.g., figuratively, which is tainted with specifics that may not apply.

Literal and actual SHOULD be exactly what they sound like. The former SHOULD regard the words, such as a figure of speech, just as the latter regards the actuality. That way, for example, the use of "literally" could be used as a more directed version of "indeed". One could then say of a spiteful act, "He literally cut off his nose to spite his face." -- thereby drawing attention to the applicable figure of speech, not the physical deed.

But, NO.

Also, note how using "figuratively" there, as a replacement in the example sentence, would be at least as annoyingly hollow as our abominable word is arguably nonsensical in its presently sad state. That evidences both the inferiority of the alternatives, and the void created by this abomination. Perhaps its current definitions are just a careless morph of what was once a good and well defined word, which would make its current existence all the more annoying, literally.

Bestial -- love the meaning; hate the spelling. It should -- in a better world -- be spelled "beastial". Why? Because it just looks more appropriate, more beastly, that way. The way it's currently spelled makes it appear, visually, to be sort of the opposite of its definition. Gazing upon that written word is like looking at a gorgeous gal with a horrendously large snout -- what you want is there, but there's a distraction. Activism is encouraged on this one because it's too good a word to be left so horribly disfigured. Purposefully misspell it!

Who the hell starts these trends?

This newest annoyance surfaced some months ago, and now it seems that everyone is starting their first sentence of whatever their spiel with it. And just when we were recovering from the last one -- "At the end of the day, ...".

Seriously, am I the only one annoyed by these trendy affectations? Their rapid spread and universal acceptance add up to just plain creepy. Specifically, it's the evidenced attraction to conformity, going well beyond a mere willingness to do so, and the complete absence of anyone ever making any mention of it, that's mildly disturbing.

Where the phenomenon observed in such examples is so visible (audible) and innocuous, what about an analogous spread of unexamined ideas, especially those wrapped up in happy-sounding political mantras favoring some notion, or of vitriolic ones deriding others?

UPDATE (July 09):

"Let's be clear, ..." is the new "So, ...", only it's so much worse in that it typically precedes a perfect inversion of whatever reality is being intentionally obfuscated. I'm no Social Science PhD, or any such mental giant, but I don't think that's good CHANGE. And I'm not the only one to notice.

Last Sunday, a private jet carrying the family of millionaire Irving Feldkamp, owner of America's largest abortion business (Allcare Medical Management), slammed nose-first into a cemetery in Montana, adjacent to a memorial,

"Tomb of the Unborn",

whereof local residents would pray for the hundreds of millions of babies tortured to death or otherwise slaughtered by abortionists worldwide.

Everyone aboard the plane died, including 5 of Irving's grandchildren, his 2 daughters & their husbands, and 4 friends. They were meeting up with him for a ski trip. No pilot error was reported. No mechanical problems were reported. There was no bad weather.

The so-called "legitimate news sources" make no mention of Irving's abortion business, nor of the memorial adjacent to the plane crash. Neither are there any such mentions anywhere in any related report or editorial since the crash occurred.
